We are thrilled to share highlights from our first in-person meeting in Limassol, Cyprus, for the Erasmus+ KA2 project “Local Discovery – Developing Solutions for Geographically Excluded Areas and Social Activation of People in Local Communities”!
Over three inspiring days, our partners from Cyprus and Poland came together to take meaningful steps forward and lay the groundwork for the months ahead.
What We Achieved Together
During our time in Limassol, the team focused on:
- Building trust and forging strong collaboration between partner organisations
- Exchanging ideas on empowering people aged 50+ in geographically excluded areas
- Co-developing educational tools for local activation, sustainable tourism, and storytelling
- Exploring how local communities can rediscover their hidden treasures and share them with the world
About the Project
The Erasmus+ KA2 “Local Discovery” project (2024–2026) aims to boost social activation and unlock the tourism potential of rural and peripheral regions through creative workshops and multimedia trainings, with a special focus on older adults.
By combining local knowledge with modern tools and storytelling techniques, the project empowers communities to showcase their unique cultural, historical, and natural assets — turning overlooked regions into vibrant destinations.
What’s Next?
Stay tuned for updates — local training opportunities are coming soon! We look forward to bringing the project’s activities directly to communities and engaging participants who want to make a difference in their local areas.
