We are pleased to share highlights from the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ KA2 project “Local Discovery – Developing Solutions for Geographically Excluded Areas and Social Activation of People in Local Communities”, which took place on 12–14 November 2025 at the headquarters of the Silesian Tourist Organization in Katowice, Poland.

Hosted by our coordinator, Forum Regionalnych Organizacji Turystycznych (FROT), the meeting brought together partners from Poland and Cyprus for three days of collaboration, creative exchange, and strategic planning.

A Productive Three Days of Collaboration

Building on the strong foundation laid during our first in-person meeting in Limassol, the team focused on:

  • Strengthening trust and partnership between the participating organisations
  • Reviewing progress and the quality of educational materials developed so far
  • Exchanging experiences and working methods between partner organisations
  • Co-creating the concept for the next intellectual output through interactive workshops
  • Planning the next stages of the project, including upcoming workshops and deliverables

Key Outcomes

During the meeting, partners made significant progress on the project’s intellectual outputs and overall direction:

  • Output 1 – Multimedia Trainings: Set to be finalised by the end of the year, with updates to the presentation template and branding.
  • Output 2 – Method Description E-Book and Best Practices: Partners agreed on a shared structure covering a Workshop Scenario Framework, a Set of Methods, Storytelling Techniques, and Best Practice Example Scenarios. The draft is expected by February 2026, with the final version ready by the end of March.
  • Final Project Logo: The team agreed on the official “color splashes” logo, which will soon be rolled out across all project materials.
  • Next Meeting & Workshops: The next project meeting and international workshops will take place in Limassol, Cyprus, on 18–20 March 2026, hosted by DOREA.

Creative Energy and Strong Engagement

The meeting was marked by highly productive creative sessions, with participants generating valuable ideas for the upcoming e-book — from storytelling techniques and sensory triggers to “Living Heritage Labs,” “Local Flavours Labs,” and “Hidden Gems Mapping” sessions. The anonymous post-meeting evaluation reflected this enthusiasm, with participants giving consistently high ratings for preparation, agenda, and overall experience.

What’s Next?

With clear plans in place, the team is now focused on finalising educational materials, engaging additional experts, and preparing for the upcoming international workshops in Cyprus. Local training opportunities for educators and seniors aged 50+ are on the horizon — stay tuned!
